Embracing the Adventure In Times of Uncertainty – Guest Post by Drew Tewell

Sometimes in life, we find ourselves in what can be a scary place. The rug is pulled out from under us and we are not sure what to do next. I have recently found myself in such a place.

For almost four years I have been pursuing my dream to help people, first as a coach, then as an author, and starting last year as a blogger. Throughout this time I have had a day job and worked on my dream on the side. But now, a new window of opportunity seems to be opening up. Unfortunately, it is not ideal, but it is an opportunity none the less.

In your life right now, you may be going through a similar experience. What can you do?

Here is what I did (and am doing):

1. Let Go

So many things in life are out of our control. We can worry about them all day long, or we can surrender. Even though it sounds kind of crazy, sometimes there is nothing left that we can do.

2. Believe

Once you have let go of your situation, you have to have something to hold onto. In times of uncertainty, we must embrace what we are certain of.

3. Keep Moving Forward

Getting stuck is not an option. No reason to waste your time. Just keep moving.

Life is an adventure. The truth of the matter is we never know what a day will bring. And living in this uncertainty is what can be exciting.

Let’s do our best to enjoy it today.

Good stuff. Just coming to the realization that we can not control most things can be life changing.

Very true Charles. The ability to adjust and rise above challenges is key and I think Drew communicated that well with his point on “keep moving forward.”

Inspiring, sometimes we all need a good leap of faith. Thanks for sharing.

You are exactly right Debbie. As Drew pointed out, uncertainty is a part of life, but with faith you can embrace it and move forward.
